Implementing the cheat editor would be a great idea. Opening the file with notepad.exe is just one of the solutions. It will help a lot of users including newbie. You no longer need to find the CRC and search the file. If the file doesn't exist, PCSX2 will generate the file first, and then open the file. If the pnach file already exists, PCSX2 will just open the file with text editor like notepad.exe. Once you boot a game, the menu will be available and open the currently running game's pnach file in the folder which you configured as a cheats folder.
